Join John Berryhill, Director of the Botanic Garden of Smith College, and Betsy Anderson ’04, Chair of the Friends of the Botanic Garden Leadership Council, to learn about the botanic garden’s role in preparing leaders to address climate change and other urgent environmental and societal challenges.
As the botanic garden celebrates 130 years, Smith students are forging bold new paths in conservation, collaboration, and restorative justice around the world. Hear their stories and be inspired!
John Berryhill has been at the Smith College botanic garden since 1997, having filled many roles during his 25+ years. In his previous role as Landscape Curator, John raised the standard of care for the campus tree collection, found new and innovative ways for Smith faculty and students to utilize the campus landscape in the classroom, and launched the botanic garden’s conservation research program.
