Love In The Library: Poetry Reading & Music

It's the season of Love In The Market and locals are invited to spend the day at Pike Place shopping and participating in Market activities. Folio is delighted to invite members and friends to an afternoon of music & poetry in the library!  

Come early and bring your tote bag and stock up on some new reads from our book sale! 

Sip champagne while enjoying a selection of favorite love poems of all types - romantic, platonic, bitter and funny - from Seattle poet Michele Bombardier, joined by actor/poets Kenneth Wagner and Lillo Way, with live music from Seattle Piano/Bass duo Ann Merryfield and Jeff Davies. 

This event is open to all. Please note that proof of vaccination or a negative test is required.

About the performers

• Michele Bombardier's debut collection What We Do was a Washington Book Award finalist. Her work can be found in JAMA, Alaska Quarterly Review, Parabola and many others.
• Actor/poet Lillo Way's prize winning collection, Lend Me Your Wings, was published in 2021.
• Actor/poet Kenneth Wagner’s work has appeared in literary and online journals such as Rattle, Hanging Loose and Anvil Tongue – his poetry can also be found in anthologies published by Pure Slush and Synesthesia Literary Journal.
