About the Event

Join Irish native and Folio's Executive Director Caroline Cumming as we kick off an exciting new program celebrating Irish literature with a discussion of We Don’t Know Ourselves: A Personal History of Modern Ireland by Fintan O’Toole. In this discussion group, we'll unpack the complexities of Ireland's political and cultural evolution.


To fully appreciate the depth of O'Toole's historical memoir, the discussion will be divided into three sessions, each focusing on key themes and time periods covered in the book. The group will meet in person at Folio, on the third Tuesday of each month, starting in January 2025 and concluding in March. View the full schedule for details.
