Robin Van Steenburgh
Board Trustee
Robin worked in the tech industry for about 35 years, writing software and producing
books, courseware, and online documentation for the people who use software. She
was a Microsoft TEALS volunteer in 2016, helping to create a computer science
education program for high school students at Burien High School.
She owned and operated a used bookstore on Seattle’s Eastside, where her duties
included hiring and managing a bookstore cat, learning enough accounting to create a
used bookstore chart of accounts, and finally, selling the business.
She’s a huge fan of both fiction and non-fiction.Her passion for the way books can
create community has landed her on the Folio board. Previously, her love of ballet led
her to a position on the board of Ballet Bellevue (now Bellevue Opera Ballet).
