Robin Van Steenburgh

Robin worked in the tech industry for about 35 years, writing software and producing books, courseware, and online documentation for the people who use software. She was a Microsoft TEALS volunteer in 2016, helping to create a computer science education program for highschool students at Burien High School.

She owned and operated a used bookstore on Seattle’s Eastside, where her duties included hiring and managing a bookstore cat, learning enough accounting to create a used bookstore chart of accounts, and finally, selling the business. She’s a huge fan of both fiction and non-fiction.Her passion for the way books can create community has landed her on the Folio board. Previously, her love of ballet led her to a position on the board of Ballet Bellevue (now Bellevue Opera Ballet).
