Translated Literature

Translators of international literature serve to dissolve stereotypes and open our eyes to the common humanity between people of varying nationalities, cultures and backgrounds. Folio is proud to celebrate the gift translators have to offer, and expand our view of universal literature through presentations featuring local translators and their books. Folio is proud to be a partner with NOTIS, The Northwest Literary Translators, part of the Northwest Translators and Interpreters Society.

Northwest Translators and Interpreters Society (NOTIS)

The Northwest Translators and Interpreters Society (NOTIS) is a non-profit organization established in April 1988 as a forum for professional translators and interpreters in the Pacific Northwest to meet and learn from peers, and for those needing language services to find skilled service providers.

NOTIS is a chapter of the American Translators Association (ATA), a professional association with over 10,000 language professional members throughout the United States and overseas. Learn More >>
